How To Play
Video Walkthroughs
Goal
The goal of Double Kings Solitaire is to move all 52 cards into the two foundation stacks.
A game is won only when every card is placed into these stacks in the correct order.
There are two modes:
* Double Kings Solitaire
* Double Aces Solitaire
The Foundation Stacks
The game is built around two main stacks.
Double Kings Mode
Each stack starts with a King and must be completed in this order:
King → Queen → Jack → 10 → 9 → 8 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 4 → 3 → 2 → Ace → Ace → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → 9 → 10 → Jack → Queen → King
The sequence continues through Ace as a pivot point, then reverses direction to complete the full cycle.
Double Aces Mode
Each stack starts with an Ace and follows the reverse structure:
Ace → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → 9 → 10 → Jack → Queen → King → King → Queen → Jack → 10 → 9 → 8 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 4 → 3 → 2 → Ace
The Tableau (Main Play Area)
Cards not yet placed into the foundation stacks are played in the tableau.
In the tableau:
* Cards can be built and rearranged freely
* You can place a card on another card if it continues a valid sequence
* Entire sequences can be moved together when legal
* Sequences can merge, split, and be rebuilt during play
The tableau is where strategy happens before committing cards into the foundation stacks.
Building Rules (Tableau)
In the tableau:
* Cards alternate red and black
* Cards must follow normal descending or ascending sequence logic depending on placement
* Sequences are flexible and can be rearranged
* There is no fixed "lock" direction like traditional solitaire
You can reorganize sequences as the layout changes, including using newly revealed Kings or Queens to restructure stacks.
Moving to Foundation Stacks
Foundation stacks only accept cards in exact order.
A card can only be placed if it is the next correct step in the sequence.
Once placed into a foundation stack, the order is fixed.
Key Difference From Classic Solitaire
Unlike traditional solitaire:
* The goal is not to build multiple separate stacks
* The goal is to complete two full sequences containing all 52 cards
* The tableau is a working system for organizing and rearranging cards before committing them
Difficulty Levels
Easy
Two Kings (or Aces in Double Aces mode) are already placed in the foundation stacks.
Medium
The foundation stacks are empty at the start. You must locate and place the starting Kings or Aces yourself.
Hard
There are no pre-placed foundation stacks. All cards begin in the tableau.
Dealer Pile
You may draw:
* 1 card
* 2 cards
* 3 cards
* 5 cards
Smaller draws make the game easier by revealing fewer cards at once.
Winning the Game
The game is completed when:
* All 52 cards are placed into the two foundation stacks
* Both full sequences are correctly completed
